People have told me time and time again that they would love to dress fashionably but it’s just so expensive. My answer to you naysayers is WRONG! Fashion does not have to be pricey. Yes Kyla and I both dream of one day owning designer labels, but for the time being H&M is about as fancy as we get. So for all you disbelievers out there I’m going to show you three different looks with the same, $8.00, basic, H&M dress. Here we go…
Worthy for work
For those of you who don’t know, I work at an eye doctor’s office and wearing the merchandise is key; along with looking relatively modest. Basic black dress, faint cheetah print grey tights, black riding boots, infinity scarf, vintage inspired cheap earrings, small fishtail braids pulled back, and the piece de resistance: Burberry frames. (So these break the not expensive rule…employee discount, what can I say?)
SAME dress, paired with stripped boyfriend cardigan, rose earrings, bow ring, and jewel toned clutch and flats, and a chic ponytail with volume and a little curl. Perfect for grabbing lunch with the girls or heading off to class.
SAME dress, gold feather inspired layered necklace, basic black pumps, chignon updo and vintage drop pendant earrings courtesy of my great grandma. Got a hot date? I think this look will do splendidly, even at the classiest of restaurants.
There you are folks! One $8.00 dress and whatever accessories you have lying around can go a long way.
